For the convenience of our clients, patients are seen on an appointment basis. We pride ourselves in minimizing your time spent in the waiting room and will do everything possible to see your pet at its appointed time. We realize, of course, that unforeseen circumstances often arise. If your pet has an emergency during regular hospital hours, please call to notify us that you will be coming. If this is not possible, we will certainly care for your pet when it arrives.

After-Hours Emergencies and Critical Care

Critical care monitoring and services for emergencies that occur after regular hospital hours are provided for us by the Great Lakes Pet Emergency Hospital. The doctors and staff at Great Lakes provide high quality and often life saving care for patients of Gratiot Animal Hospital and several other referring veterinary hospitals from the Tri-Cities area and beyond.

The hospital is located at 1220 Tittabawassee Road in Carrollton Township. The after-hours emergency phone number is (989) 752-1960.

Please identify yourself as a valued client of Gratiot Animal Hospital when you visit Great Lakes. We immediately receive a faxed report notifying us of the specifics of your pet’s visit. This enables us to update your pet’s medical records and follow up on any necessary details.
