Dr. Dwight
McNally, DVM |
Dr. Dwight McNally has been practicing veterinary
medicine for over 25 years. He was born and raised in
Bridgeport, Michigan, and spent two years at Alma
College before receiving his Bachelor of Science and
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Michigan
State University in 1981. Immediately following
graduation, he practiced in the Detroit area prior to
returning to Saginaw. In 1985, he joined the team at
Gratiot Animal Hospital, and became the practice owner
the following year.
Dr. McNally works exclusively with
small animals. In addition to surgery and medicine, he
is most interested in and dedicated to fostering a
happy, healthy bond between people and their pets. He is
a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association,
the Michigan Veterinary Association, the Southeastern
Michigan Veterinary Association and the American
Association of Feline Practitioners.
He
and his wife, Brenda, have three children. Ryan, a
graduate of Michigan State University's College of
Veterinary Medicine, has recently joined the staff at
Gratiot Animal Hospital. Jillian is a Lutheran grade
school teacher in the metro Detroit area. Jordan is a senior engineering student
at Michigan State University and loves being a Spartan.

Dwight and Brenda have a Golden Retriever named Annie
and a new kitten named Charlotte. Charlotte loves Annie,
but the feeling is not always reciprocated. In his free
time, Dr. McNally enjoys spending time with his family,
traveling, playing golf, running and playing the piano. |

Dr.
Sheryl A.
Gilbert is a 1986 graduate of Michigan State
University. She attended Delta College before
receiving her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of
Veterinary Medicine degrees from Michigan State
University.
She practiced in the Clio area before returning
to Saginaw in 1989 to join the team at Gratiot
Animal Hospital. Dr. Gilbert works with small
animals and some pocket pets, including simple
wing & beak trims on birds. In addition to
surgery and medicine, she takes pride in
assisting the people of the Tri-City area
maintain a healthy relationship with their
beloved pets.
Dr. Gilbert's greatest joy is the time spent
with her husband and two children. Their
numerous pets include a Golden Retriever named
Bella, 2 horses, 2 birds and 4 cats. |

Dr. Sheri Mayer, DVM |
Dr. Sheri Mayer grew up in Saginaw Township,
graduating from Douglas MacArthur High School in
1980. After receiving her Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine degree from Michigan State University
in 1987 she worked in the Flint area for several
years, being the primary surgeon for a two
doctor practice. Dr. Mayer joined Gratiot Animal
Hospital in 1996, sharing the surgical and
medical responsibilities with the other doctors.
Time away from the hospital
is spent enjoying her family, including her
husband David and her two teenage children, Sam
and Anna. Her children are both involved in many
sports, so Dr. Mayer spends a lot of time
sitting on the bleachers. Sheri enjoys sports
and fitness herself and enjoys playing tennis,
biking and running.
The Mayer family loves
all kinds of animals. They have a dog, several
cats, chickens, peacocks, bunnies and an
occasional farm animal. |

Dr. Ryan McNally is the newest addition to
the veterinary health care team at Gratiot
Animal Hospital. A native of the Saginaw area,
Dr. McNally is a graduate of Valley Lutheran
High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor of
Arts degree in economics from Alma College, and
has been in practice here since his graduation
from the College of Veterinary Medicine at
Michigan State University.
Dr. McNally works with small animals only. His
primary interest is animal welfare, which he pursues
through medicine and surgery, and client education.
Professional interests include cardiology,
dermatology, and neurology. Dr. McNally is a member
of the American Veterinary Medical Association and
the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.
Ryan resides in Saginaw
Township with his wife Jennifer, and their two young
children: daughter Alexis and son Aiden. In
addition, they have a Bernese Mountain Dog named
Macy, and a saber-tooth tiger (cat) named Nemo. In
his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his
family, traveling, golfing, fishing, and watching
movies. |
